What we do. And who each thing is for.
Right.
You’ll think it’s the same list as always. It is, but each item says who it’s for and who it isn’t. Your case isn’t on it? Would it be a bad idea to ask us whose it is?

Registrations
— Should I register a technical-grade pesticide by equivalence?
Only if your technical is equivalent to one already registered in Mexico and you have the five-batch analysis, the physicochemical data, acute toxicology and the manufacturing process with impurities. Then it’s the shortest way in. If any of those studies is missing, we talk first about which one and how long it takes.
— What if it’s a new molecule?
That too, but it’s a different dossier, a different timeline and a different budget, and we tell you how much of each before we start.
— Should I register a formulated product?
When you have a registered technical (yours, or a third party’s with a letter of access) and want to sell the finished product in Mexico. We build the three sets: COFEPRIS, SEMARNAT and SADER/SENASICA. And we file when it’s complete, even when there’s a hurry.
We handle renewals.
If your registration expires within the next 18 months, this is the moment to start. If it expires in three, write today.
Amendments
— Should I file an administrative amendment?
If you changed address, company name or authorized distributor, or you’re assigning rights. These are the ones that “are nothing” until an inspector compares your registration with your invoice.
— Should I file a technical amendment?
If you want to add a use, a crop, a formulator or a pack size. It’s faster than a new registration and usually costs less than you’ve been charged for it.
Around the registration
We obtain the import permit.
If you’re bringing in technical or formulated product, you need the permit from COFEPRIS and SEMARNAT. We handle the permit; importing and selling stay with you.
We review and file the efficacy-trial certificate.
The lab delivers the reports and someone has to review them before filing. That someone is us. We see it every day here: when nobody reviews, the authority issues a deficiency notice.
We review your dossier and give you a written opinion.
For a dossier already registered or about to be filed: what complies, what’s missing and what can be defended. A dated document you can show inside your company.
We register your trademark with IMPI.
If you’re going to sell under a name in Mexico, that name has to be yours here before it’s someone else’s. It’s the thing most people leave for later, and the thing that costs the most later.
— Should I file an amparo to speed up COFEPRIS?
Yes.
Only if you already have an application filed and past its legal deadline. One amparo suit per application. If you want to know when it’s worth it and when it isn’t, write to us and we’ll tell you without charging for the answer.
Once you’re registered
We alert you to regulatory changes.
If you found out about the last rule change from a customer, you already know why this service exists. We tell you first, before it affects you.
We represent you at industry meetings.
If you have no one in Mexico, someone has to be at the table when the industry meets.
— And the registration holding?
It has its own page. Here: Registration holding.
If your case is on this list, you know what to do. If it isn’t, you also know.
